Android 7.0 Nougat first factory images and OTA zip files are up for Nexus devices

Following the rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat update to Nexus devices and Pixel C, the first Nougat factory images and zip file are up now. Google has now made these files available for download, as it does each time a new OTA update rolls out. If you don’t like to wait for latest Android update notification on your eligible Nexus devices and Pixel C, then you can head to the below links.

The Android 7.0 Nougat factory images and OTA zip files are available for these supported devices:

  • Google Pixel C: Available
  • LG Nexus 5X: Available
  • Motorola Nexus 6: Available
  • Huawei Nexus 6P: Available
  • Asus Nexus Player: Available
  • HTC Nexus 9 (LTE): Available
  • HTC Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi): Available

Important: These files allow you to manually update your Nexus devices and will only work if your device has an unlocked bootloader. One should also note that installing these factory images will erase all data from the device. While it may be possible to restore certain data backed up to your Google Account. If you know how to flash these files manually then you can update your eligible devices to latest version of Android. If you don’t, then you should wait for the official update notification for your device.
