Android 7.0 Nougat update starts rolling out for Huawei P9 and Mate 8

Earlier this month, Huwaei has made it’s plan clear and confirmed the list of it’s smartphones getting the Android Nougat update. If you recall, Huawei confirmed that the Nougat update rollout will start sometime in Q1, 2017 and the Huawei Mate 8 and Huawei P9 smartphones will get the Nougat update first. But this is coming out ahead of the schedule, as according to some new report, Huawei has started rolling out the Android Nougat update for the Mate 8 and P9 smartphones, at-least to the units in China. A full rollout will start shortly, reports suggests.

Android Nougat update released as build version B352 for the P9, and version B552 for the Mate 8 for the users wh have not participated in the beta testing. For units running the Nougat beta firmware, the update arrives as version B363 and B562, for P9 and Mate 8 respectively.

The reports also claiming that the Huawei P9 Plus is also supposed to get the Nougat update today, but it’s unclear if it come in form of beta or the final build. The P9 Lite has also received a beta build of Nougat.
