Here are the reasons why you shouldn’t buy the iPhone 7/ 7 Plus

There were no surprises left at the Apple’s launch event because all new features were as expected as mentioned in several leaks and rumors. But if you are still searching for the reasons not to buy Apple’s new flagship, we have decided to write a post on the same topic. To refresh, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were launched at an event in San Fransisco on September 7.

Below are the reasons not to buy iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus-

  • ‘Almost same’ display as iPhone 6S

Apple’s previous generation handsets -iPhone 6S and iPhone 6s Plus offer Retina HD display while new iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus  offers the same display but Apple claims that the display now offers a wider color gamut as compared to the duo’s standard RGBs display. • No major difference in design

Apple has made some minor changes in the design of its new flagships- iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Both devices sport the same design as their predecessors — iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. iphone-6s_iphone7_design_comparision-9to5net-comMinor changes are stereo speakers at the bottom (both side), dual rear camera (only in iPhone 7 Plus), and antenna lines at the sides for a cleaner look of the device. But if you will compare, new devices sports the same design as that of the 2-year old iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models.iphone-6s_iphone7_design_comparision_2-9to5net-com

  • No major improvements in battery

Before the launch, people were expecting a major improvement in battery life but the improvement is not the major one. However, Apple claims that both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come with the longest-ever battery. But if we will compare, in terms of hours it is two-three hours more for iPhone 7 and one hour more for the iPhone 7 Plus model as compared to their predecessors. Below is the battery performance chart, where you can have a clear look-all-iphones-battery-performance-comparison

  • No headphone jack

Hope you all are aware of this major change that Apple has killed 3.5mm jack in iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This means you won’t be able to use your existing 3.5mm headphone with these new handsets till you use the Lightning to 3.5mm adapter. The company obviously wants you to get their new wireless AirPods which cost $169 to begin with and if you lose one of them, you have to spend $169 once again. If you think that spending $169 on AirPods is not a good idea, you can buy a lightning adapter by Belkin which is priced at $39.99.

  • RAM

If you are not aware of this, we would like to tell you that Apple never reveals the RAM capacity of its devices. But a report in Forbes suggests that iPhone 7 comes with 2GB of RAM. If it’s true which means new handset has not received any bump in RAM capacity because as per previous reports iPhone 6s also sports 2GB of RAM.Incidentally, Apple never reveals the RAM and battery of its smartphones.

  • Lack of wireless charging feature

Apple users know this fact that Apple doesn’t like wires. They have done many improvements in iMac and MacBook which let you do many things wirelessly. However, Apple has yet to introduce wireless charging in their devices because some of Android smartphone comes with wireless charging feature.samsung-galaxy-s6-wireless-charging

  • No split screen multi-tasking

Samsung has been building the split screen multitasking feature in Galaxy Note series smartphones for a while now and with Nougat, the feature generally comes in all Android smartphones. This feature is available on iPad also. It doesn’t make sense to have this feature in iPhone 7 due to the small size of the screen but in iPhone 7 plus (bigger in size), it should definitely come.
