LG mentioned it earlier that the V20 smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat from day one and be the first smartphone to do this. Now, the confirmation coming from the Google itself that the LG V20 will be the first new smartphone that comes with Android Nougat, right out of the box. Google has just started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to supported devices that includes Nexus devices.
Google mentioned these words on newly released Android 7.0 Nougat official page. Google has also showcased the V20 smartphone below the message with very rough outline.
LG V20 smartphone will be announced on September 6 at an event in San Francisco. That means, the rumored two HTC Nexus handsets – which also feature Android Nougat right out of the box – will not be unveiled before September 6. The LG V20 is expected to go on sale from September 23, with pre-orders starting on September 14.
V20 is said to compete against Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and the V20 smartphone will take a lead with the latest version of Android OS in the period during which the Note7 won’t have the latest Android Nougat. According to Samsung, Galaxy Note 7 users can expect the Nougat update within two to three months.
