Huawei confirms list of it’s smartphones getting Android Nougat update

So finally we have the list of Huawei smartphones that will get the Android 7.o Nougat update next year. Huawei has announced update plans for Android Nougat and EMUI 5.0 to its smartphones. We already know that the Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro smartphones will ship with Android 7.0 (Nougat) and the new EMUI 5.0 out of the box. Both the flagships were announced last month. And Now, company has confirmed list of other devices getting Nougat update in coming days.

The Android 7.0 Nougat  update for Huawei devices will arrive in the form of EMUI version 5.0. The company plans to roll out Nougat update staring sometime in Q1, 2017. The Huawei Mate 8 and Huawei P9 smartphones will get the Nougat update first, follows by some other smartphones few weeks after that.

The company will likely add more devices to this list in future. We assume that the Huawei Mate S, Huawei P8, MediaPad M3 and some more will also join the list in future.

About the new EMUI 5.0, Huawei said,
