Samsung confirms Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in January

So here we’re, Samsung has officially ended the Galaxy Nougat Beta Program for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. The company also confirmed the final stable release of Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the duo in January as soon as possible. The confirmation came in the form of a Beta notices to the Galaxy Beta Program testers. Samsung wishes all beta testers a very Happy New Year and stated, “We will do our best to distribute the official version in January as soon as possible”.

As the Nougat beta program is officially ending today, there will be no new beta version release. Also, Samsung will stop monitoring the “error report” and “suggestion” channels of the beta program, but there is a plan to manage it via community only.

Samsung had launched the Android Nougat Galaxy Beta Program for S7 and S7 edge smartphones in the early November 2016. The company released five updates as part of the program that means a lot of pre-release bugs will have already been identified before the official roll out.

With the beta program ending, the final stable roll out of Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to galaxy S7 and S7 edge will begin sometime in January. Countdown begins!!! A very Happy New Year !!!
