Samsung Galaxy Note 8 got the codename, model number also revealed

Samsung has no plan to scrape the Note line after seeing an early demise of the Galaxy Note 7. It seems like Samsung is trying to make a proper comeback with the Galaxy Note 8. Having so much buzz around the Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S8/S8+ flagships, the Galaxy Note 8 rumor also hit the floor. Thanks to the folks at SamMobile, they have revealed some incoming information about the Note 8. According to them, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 will be codenamed “Great”.

With the Codename Great for the Galaxy Note 8, we are expecting that Samsung will give all the honors to the Note 8 what it has lost for it’s Note line up. And also the Galaxy Note 8 will be something extraordinary as It has to make up for last year’s explosive battery drama around Note 7.

Model number for the Galaxy Note 8 is also revealed. The Galaxy Note8 will carry the model number: SM-N950F for an international-unlocked variant. Much like the Galaxy S7 and Note7 models, the S8 model number would have a different letter at the end, depending on each market and carrier. SamMobile also said that Samsung is working on a refurbished Note 7 for the South Korean market.

These are just rumors and reports around the internet, so take this all with a pinch of salt until Samsung confirms it officially.

In all this time, Samsung is all set to introduce the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in a event in New York on March 29, 2017 that will take place at 11:00 a.m. EDT (9:30 PM IST) on the day. Both the phones are expected to go on sale on April 28. Check out our rumour round-up for more details about the upcoming Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
