Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 edge/S6 edge+ and Note 5 to get Android Nougat this month

After releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Samsung has also confirmed it’s Nougat eligible devices that will get the update next. So the owners of other Galaxy flagships have been waiting for their turn to receive Android 7.0 Nougat. And now here’s some good news for the Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+ and Note 5 owners, Android Nougat is coming their way very soon. The info is coming from the twitter handle of the VP of Samsung Electronics Turkey, who shared a timetable for these updates.

Going by his words, Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge+ and Note5 will get the Android Nougat update by the end of the third week of February (that’s this week!). S0 if the things will follow the schedules, the owners of these handsets will receive the Nougat update soon. According to him, the Galaxy S6 edge will have to wait until the end of the month to get the Nougat.

At least the owners of these devices in Turkey have the high possibility to get these update this month, as those dates are for Turkey specifically. But mainland Europe usually gets the updates a bit earlier, so we have a great chance that the Nougat update roll out will begin globally soon.

Adding to the list, the above info also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy A (2016) series are scheduled to receive the Android Nougat update in May and the Galaxy J will follow the suit in somewhere July this year.
