Sony announced Xperia XZ pricing for USA with a release date on October 2

Sony has confirmed the launch date of it’s latest flagship Xperia XZ for the USA market along with the pricing details. The unlocked version of Xperia XZ will arrive in stock in the US on October 2 with a price tag of $699. The phone will be made available Amazon and Best Buy along with other participating retailers. The handset will be offered in three color – Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum.

Sony Xperia XZ is a successor to the Xperia X flagship and focuses on design, performance, camera, and battery life. The Xperia XZ has a solid metal build with a new signature Sony design and a new signature color to represent the series – Forest Blue. It also comes with water resistance technology with IP65/IP68 ratings, stereo speakers and Sony’s best mobile camera setup yet with Triple Image Sensing to measure distance correctly and track intelligently moving objects for a perfect focus and blur free shot. But unfortunately, the Xperia XZ won’t have a fingerprint scanner in the US.

Pre-order Xperia XZ

If you’re looking for something from Sony with a lesser price tag and smaller size, then you should go for Xperia X Compact which is already up for pre-order on Amazon in the United States for $499.99. Amazon is also offering a $50 cashback with the pre-order of Xperia X compact in the USA which will release on September 25. The Xperia X Compact was announced along with the Xperia XZ at the IFA 2016 in Berlin. The Xperia XZ is expected to go up for pre-order soon.
