Amazon India launched its Premium membership service Amazon Prime with first 60-day free trial

Amazon has launched its premium membership service Amazon Prime in India which offers you faster shipping for free. Prime members at Amazon enjoy unlimited FREE One-Day and Two-Day Delivery, early access to Lightning Deals (30-minute early access to new deals) and more. It also offers morning and scheduled deliveries with no minimum order size. Users can sign up for Amazon Prime membership via the Amazon website, starting with a 60-day free trial. If you sign up now, Amazon Prime will cost Rs. 499 for a year (limited period offer) after the 60 day trial, the usual subscription cost is Rs. 999 per year.

One also need to remember that Amazon Prime members will not qualify for free delivery on all products but only on products with the Prime logo marked  next to the pricing, so you will need to look for the Prime logo against products.

Amazon is not launching their content service which includes Amazon Video and Amazon Music, but Amazon says that it will launch Prime Video soon for the Prime subscribers. Amazon prime video includes Amazon Original Series and Movies, as well as premium movies and TV shows from Indian and global content providers.
