Android’s Gmail App Revamps ‘Quick Reply’ Feature Rolling Out

The Gmail App has been working constantly on various features over the past few months. Earlier, it was working on the “Updates” tab on mobile and now is formally launching a revamped “Quick Reply” feature for Android chats after months of testing.

Now, you can easily scroll down to the bottom of a message and access a large pill-shaped button for Reply, Forward, and Reply All in addition to emoji reactions.

This server-side upgrade is available for Android users of Gmail 2024.05.05.x. The menu options in the new design include Reply, Forward, and Change recipients; on the left, you may rapidly attach a file. The small bar is completed with an emoji and forward.

You can begin typing instantly “without opening a new screen” by tapping the text area. The expand icon gives you access to the same fullscreen user interface. You can now refer to a message’s contents while typing, creating a chat-like experience with this updated interface. This is “ideal for emails that just need a simple answer,” according to Google.

Google Messages and Home improvements for Android were unveiled this month, along with the redesign of Gmail Quick Reply. The rollout is currently occurring account by account. It may be present on one Gmail account but not on any others.
