After claiming that iPhone 7 to be released in the week of September 12, Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) of VentureBeat tipped another information. According to him iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus & Pro pre-orders allegedly starting on the September 9th. If we go by this tip, actual shipments of iPhone 2016 will begin a week later, most likely on September 16 (Friday). Usually reliable leakster Evan Blass has a stellar reputation for leaking information regarding mobile devices.
Confirmed: Pre-orders start on the 9th. You can extrapolate the launch event date from there. https://t.co/gwoPzIM1dI

Apple has not confirmed yet any exact date for the launch event, but the company has a record to stick with the Friday to start iPhone sales. Last year, the iPhone 6s was unveiled on September 9th, pre-orders started on the 12th, but sales started two weeks later on September 25 (a Friday again).
While we are following every update relating to the next iPhone, here are some more images of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Pro from the same informer who leaked some images yesterday also.
In this set of images, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Pro are compared against the last year’s iPhone 6S Plus. The unit with the 3.5mm headphone jack is the iPhone 6s Plus. Because iPhone 2016 will indeed not be coming with 3.5mm headphone jack as the images shows.
The game is ON!
