LeEco in collaboration with Coolpad has launched their third smartphone – Cool Changer S1. Earlier to this, LeEco and Coolpad jointly announced the Cool1 Dual and Cool Changer 1C. The Cool Changer S1 will be available in three memory variants – 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage option and 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant. It is a dual-SIM smartphone. The phone comes in comes in Champagne Gold, Black Night and Black Streamer color options.
The Cool Changer S1 sports a unibody metal body with 5.5-inch 1080p HD display. It is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EUI 5.8 on top. The phone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 4K recording and Dual-LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs a 4070mAh built-in battery with Quick Charge 3.0. It also has a a fingerprint sensor on the back just below the rear camera module.
The Cool Changer S1 comes with some impressive audio profile. It has two front-facing speakers with Harman’s Clari-Fi audio enhancing technology. The phone don’t have 3.5mm headphone jack and instead comes with a USB Type-C headset. It comes with AKG N18 custom headphones for Hi-Fi CDLA (Continual Lossless Digital Audio) audio experience.
Price and Availability
As mentioned earlier, Cool Changer S1 will be available in three different memory variants, Pricing for the different models are as follow:
- 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version: CNY 2,499 (approx. US$ 359 / Rs. 24,400)
- 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version: CNY 2,699 (approx. US$ 388 / Rs. 26,350)
- 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version: CNY 3,199 (approx. US$ 460 / Rs. 31,200)
As of now, the Cool S1 is only available in China, there is no official word on Global pricing and availability of the phone yet.
