Facebook has started to roll out 360 degree photos worldwide

Thursday, 9th June 2016, Facebook launched a feature that allows users to upload photos with 360-degree views.

According to Mark Zuckerberg  (Founder and CEO at Facebook)

“This feature is similar to 360 videos — you can tilt your phone and feel like you’re actually there. You can also check them out in virtual reality for a fully immersive experience.

The big difference with 360 photos is you can take them with your phone. Just take a panorama or use a 360 camera app, then post it to Facebook and we’ll take care of the rest.”

Apart from photos taken from 360-degree cameras, panoramic photos taken on a mobile phone can be converted to a 360-degree view on the news-feed. 360 degree photos are now available to view on Facebook via the Web and the latest version of the Facebook app on Android and iOS.

On this launch, many Facebook lovers are asking for zoom in/out feature in 360 degree photos and most people are loving this new way to see pictures around the world.
