Feeling hungry and want to have some of your yummy snacks from a restaurant near you or wanting to book a table at your favorite place – now Google search can do both for you. Google in India now lets you to place an order or book a table in one of your favorite restaurant using Google search. Google has partnered with food delivery and dine booking service providers in India to let you book a table at a restaurant or order your food within the Google Search app on Android and iOS.
Now, when you search for a nearby restaurant on your phone, you’ll see an option to “Place an order” in the search results to order food online. Also, when dining out with your loved ones but don’t want to wait for a table at your favorite place – you can book ahead of time with Google Search on your device. By choosing your favorite delivery service in the search result you’ll be taken to their website to complete the order. Similarly, by clicking on a partner’s link in the search result you’ll be taken to their site to make your reservation.
For now, Google has partnered with Dineout and Bytplus for the restaurant booking, and you’ll be able to order food via Zomato and Swiggy services. All this can be done using Google Search and the Google app on your Android or iOS phone or tablet.
Both the features are just rolling out by Google and only works with select restaurants in select locations. Google has promised to add more partners and other regions in future along with better experience.
