The Motorola Razr+ is expected to be launched by next week but we already have all the insights related to the product in hand. A new leak has been revealed related to the Motorola Razr+ (2024). It states that there will be camera upgradation with a telephoto lens, better water resistance, and the addition of AI into the new launch.
There haven’t been many significant modifications revealed in previous leaks about Motorola’s Razr+ foldable flip phone. The flagship appeared to be receiving a little specification upgrade, while the less expensive model seems to be receiving a full-size cover display. However, a handful of intriguing features are revealed in a leak.
A video by @MysteryLupin on Twitter/X opens with the cover display being displayed once more. Although the bezels may seem narrower this time, there doesn’t seem to be much of a difference.
Second, it highlights enhanced water resistance while promoting “underwater protection.” IPX8 resistance is mentioned in the disclaimer at the bottom of the video; nonetheless, the improvements are not all that great. Splashes were not a problem with the IP52 dust and water resistance of the previous model, but complete submersion might be. The dust protection caught my attention. Many foldable devices simply offer water resistance or dust resistance; Samsung, for instance, does not. Although Samsung’s foldables are IPX8, it’s uncertain if dust accumulation will become an issue as a result.
From a hardware perspective, it indicates that one of the cameras will have telephoto zoom. Like other modern dual-camera gadgets, the Razr+ sported an ultrawide camera in addition to a normal camera. Although it’s not obvious if the new Motorola Razr+’s telephoto camera comes at the expense of an ultrawide snapper, telephoto cameras are a welcome addition to foldable flip phones.
AI is mentioned as well, of course. It appears that the camera is “AI-powered,” and “Moto AI” is part of the device. This is the first time Motorola has used AI in a US release; the company has already included AI in some of its overseas launches.
Next week, you might see the release of Motorola’s new Razr foldables.
