Nexus 6 starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update along with security update

There was an unfortunate delay for the Nexus 6 owners to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update, but now the wait is over. The two year old Google’s Nexus 6 phone is now receiving the Nougat update across the globe. Along with the latest Android version, the new update brings the latest security patch. The software upgrade file size is around 850MB….that’s big!!

In addition to this, Google has also made available the Android 7.0 Nougat factory images and OTA zip file online for the Nexus 6 devices with build number NBD90Z.

As usual, the OTA update is rolling out gradually to all the Nexus 6 owners across the world. So just be patient and wait for your specific device to get the Nougat update. The update may hit your device in coming days, in the meantime you can check for any software upgrade notification in the settings. Otherwise, you can also download the factory image or OTA zip file here and install it manually, if you know how to root your device. It’s good to wait just few more hours if you have not received the update yet.
