Nexus 9 LTE starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update

Following the line of Nexus 6 which started getting Nougat update earlier this week, the Nexus 9 (LTE) is also now getting the official Android 7.0 Nougat update. The LTE enabled HTC Nexus 9 tablet is now receiving the Nougat update which also includes the Android security patch for the month of September.

Google has also made available the Nougat Factory image and OTA zip files for the Nexus 9 (LTE) devices on it’s developer page. The Nougat update to Nexus 9 LTE bumps the build number to NRD90R.

As usual, the OTA update is rolling out gradually to all the Nexus 9 LTE owners across the world. So just be patient and wait for your specific device to get the Nougat update. The update may hit your device in coming days, in the meantime you can check for any software upgrade notification in the settings. Otherwise, you can also download the factory image or OTA zip file here and install it manually, if you know how to root your device. It’s good to wait just few more hours if you have not received the update yet.
