Samsung has started rolling out a major update to it’s Android App – Samsung Smart Switch Mobile. Hope you all know that Smart Switch App gives you a freedom to move contacts, music, photos, calendar, text messages, device settings and more to your new Samsung Galaxy device. The new major update brings an ability to transfer data from Windows Phone 8.1 devices.
This update is also bringing an ability to transfer additional content from Apple devices which are running iOS 9- using this app you can now download all your documents from the Cupertino-based company’s iWorks productivity suite. In this update, the company has also fixed some bugs and included some features which will improve the speed for Message Backup and Restore Options.

You can send app data and home layouts by upgrading your Galaxy device to M OS (Galaxy S6 or higher).
Note: Smart Switch scans and transfers content stored on the device and from the SD card (if used).
What is needed to transfer?
1. Android transfers:
- Wireless transfers between Galaxy devices: Android 4.0 or higher
- Wired transfer: Android 4.3 or higher, charger cable, and a USB connector
- Wireless transfers from a compatible Android device to Galaxy device: Android 4.0 or higher (Mobile AP) (see list of compatible models below)
2. iOS transfers:
- Wired transfer: iOS 5.0 or above, iOS device cable (lightning or 30 pin), and a USB connector
- iCloud transfers: iOS 4.2.1 or higher and Apple ID

3. BlackBerry transfers:
- Wireless transfers: BlackBerry OS 7 or 10 (Mobile AP)
- Wired transfers: BlackBerry OS 7 or 10 for transfers via USB connector
4. Windows Phone transfers:
