Starting with a quick flashback, earlier Sony Mobile’s next Xperia model numbers (G3112 and G3121) were spotted on the at the Eurasian Economic Commission website. The report claimed that Sony has started testing of two unannounced Xperia smartphone with model number G3121 and G3112. Now, some new details have surfaced about these Xperia models. The new rumors suggest that the Sony’s upcoming flagships will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC.
The same report also claims that out of two models, one will feature a 5.2 inch display and another has a 5.5 inch display. Going further, phones are claimed to be unveiled at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017, although much of it still remains a mystery.
This would not be good choice if Sony still banks on two year old 820 SoC for their flagships instead of latest Snapdragon 835 processor. But, if they are planning a mid-range device for next year, then it could be a OK selection. Nothing has been officially confirmed, so don’t take anything for granted just yet.
