Sony Xperia X Performance starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update

It’s finally seeding to Sony smartphones and Xperia X Performance is the first Sony smartphone to get it. Sony has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to Xperia X Performance. The Nougat OTA update with firmware build number 39.2.A.0.327 is currently rolling to the Xperia X Performance (F8131) and X Performance Dual (F8132) owners.

The Xperia X Performance Nougat update brings native support for split-screen windows, some new options in the Sony Camera viewfinder, improved touch sensitivity, auto rotation bug fix, improved Stamina mode for extending battery life and more.

The OTA update is currently only rolling to select region and soon will expand globally, all unlocked models, both US and international versions, are getting the update. The Xperia X Performance around the world will soon get the software upgrade notification. In the mean time, you can go to your ‘Settings’ > ‘About Device’ > and then tap ‘Software Updates’.
