Sony Mobile has announced company’s latest mid-range smartphones in the X series – Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra – at MWC 2017. The Xperia XA1 is the successor of last year’s Xperia XA and the Xperia XA1 Ultra is the successor of last year’s Xperia XA Ultra. Sony has revamped both the successors with thin bezels and great cameras.
Sony Xperia XA1
Sony Xperia XA1 has a 5-inch 720p display with curved glass with side bezels barely there. Sony calls it proudly a “borderless edge-to-edge screen.” The phone is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P20 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage with support for microSD card up to 256GB. The Xperia XA1 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and packs a 2300mAh battery. The phone has 4G LTE connectivity and comes in both single and dual SIM variants.
Coming to the camera specs which is the most promising feature of the phone. The Xperia XA1 has a 23-megapixel Exmor RS rear camera with LED flash, Hybrid Auto-Focus and SteadyShot. The selfie camera packs a 8-megapixel auto focus front-facing camera.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra continues that proud tradition of last year’s Xperia XA Ultra with an impressive 16MP 1/2.6” sensor at the front with autofocus and a dedicated LED flash for selfie lovers. The primary camera packs a 23-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Hybrid Auto-Focus, 1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor and SteadyShot. It also has a dedicated camera button.
The Xperia XA1 Ultra has a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Image Enhance Technology. The phone is powered by a 2.3GHz GHz MediaTek Helio P20 Octa-Core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It comes in 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants with support for microSD cards up to 256GB. It also comes in both single and dual SIM (for selected countries) variants. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and packs a 2700 mAh battery with fast charging.
