Sony Xperia XZ showed the highest adoption rate in the second half of 2016 when compared against other flagships since launch including Google Pixel. The Xperia XZ is a surprise hit for the year 2016. The latest report from App metrics company Apteligent “2016 Mobile Year in Review” claims this. Among Android smartphones that were launched in the second half of this year, the Xperia XZ is the clear winner as the most used Android device in the global market right now.
No doubt the dramatic rise and fall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 benefited the Xperia XZ, but this is surprising result for the Sony Mobiles against the more popular brands out there such as Google, Motorola, LG, Samsung, HTC and OnePlus. The graph below excludes the now discontinued Note 7, to give you a better sense of the adoption speed of various devices. The surprise hit of the bunch is the Sony Xperia XZ.
