What will happen if you lose an Airpod- This is how much Apple will charge you

Apple’s AirPods are now available for purchase, and they don’t cost that low. They are priced at $159/£159/€179 and are now available at the company’s online shops around the world. For $160, you will get a pair of Airpod earbuds and their charging case. But what will happen if you loose an Airpod or charging case? You might be thinking that you need to buy a whole set of Airpods, but the company will allow customers to purchase a single piece of the set, either the left airpod or right airpod, or the charging case.

For this Apple has published some details on its website regarding the rules for replacing any Airpod parts. According to the company’s policy:

  • If you need service for your AirPods or charging case, there’s no charge if the issue is covered under the Apple One Year Limited Warranty or consumer law.
  • Our warranty covers a defective battery, but it doesn’t cover wear from normal use.  If the battery capacity on your AirPods or charging case decreases over time, you can replace them for a battery service fee.
  • If your AirPods or charging case get damaged accidentally, you can pay an out-of-warranty fee. And if you lose an AirPod or your charging case, we can replace your lost item for a fee.
Model Battery service Out-of-warranty Lost
AirPods $49 each $69 each $69 each
Charging case $49 $69 $69

It’s also worth to mention here that these prices are “subject to tax and a shipping fee of $6.95”

Hope you will be getting a clear view after reading this policy. What do you think about this replacement policy? Please keep us posted in the comment section of the article.
