Earlier, YouTube Music for Android rolled out the Cast menu redesign at the center of the screen. Now, the YouTube app is rolling out the same for both Android and iOS devices.
In the initial design, on tapping the Cast icon a prompt appeared right in the center of the screen. When a session starts, clicking this button allows you to adjust the volume, and, for televisions, voice search, and remote choices appear. The “Disconnect” button was, at last, prominently displayed in the lower-right corner.
But the new design is a floating bottom sheet with round corners. As soon as something starts “Playing,” a thumbnail with voice and remote controls in the corner displays. You can “Select a different device” at any moment. However, a few complaints about the missing “Disconnect button” were reported earlier but the issue is fixed now.

Playback can be stopped in two steps by tapping “This phone,” which will transfer the playback to your mobile device. On the phone, music will continue to play automatically and stay synchronized. Disconnect used to end the Cast session and put it on hold for your phone. Google eliminated the “Stop Casting” button, which would have halted everything, with the change.
Interestingly, you may relink via the Cast menu and take control of YouTube Music after you’ve disconnected.
Perhaps the classic stop button will return to the Cast menu, and that version will also be rolled up to the main YouTube app prior to wider release.
